What's the minimum gallons I can put my bettas in for breeding?

- C.k. Keeping the question in mind the smaller the space the harder it is to breed. - Jun 12, 2001
Arielle Martin - I usually use a five gallon tank filled six inches deep. They seem to be fine with that. - Sep 23, 2001
- I once read that a proffesional breeder was cleaning betta tanks and didn't know there was a male in the quart jar where he put the female whose tank he was cleaning. When he came back they were spawning. If I were you though I would not try it in a quart jar. - Oct 29, 2001
