How do I tell the gender of my Betta?

-=[xnr]=- - Of Course males have longer fins than females. But there have been some females to known to have longer fins than males! Best ultimate way to tell is, place the fish in a clear plastic or glass cup. If you see a small white-bead. Bingo! That's a female and the white-bead is her ovipositor where her eggs will be released. If you don't see this, it's male. - Sep 26, 2001
- C.k. Male bettas will have longer fins and the female will have short or smaller fins. - Jun 12, 2001
