How long does the "fight" go on before they calm down.

-=[xnr]=- - If you are refering to breeding "fights" can differ from couple to couple. If you see this. It is best to let nature take its course, and let them handle their "martial disputes". In my personal breeding experiences the most it can last 1-2 hours. But then the male's attitude changes. It has now set his mode to "luring" the female into his nest. He will flash, enlarge and extend his gills to advertise himself to her. He will do this frequently and repeatedly, and going back to attend to the bubble nest to add more bubbles. If all signs are right, EVENTUALLY the female will follow him to his nest. And VIOLA! Watch the babies roll in!!! - Sep 26, 2001
