At what times will bettas breed?

- Whenever they want. (Males want everyday....same as humans;-) When females will be able to be spawned you can see when you look at their belly. They will get very thick if they have eggs inside. - Oct 29, 2001
- my bettas always spawn in the morning. i suspend the female in a perforated clear plastic container inside the spawning tank. if the male has a nest and the female has stripes, i release her into the spawning tank at night and turn out all the lights in the area. they always spawn the next morning around 8:00 or so. - Aug 6, 2002
