Liz - One problem is what kind of betta it is and how long you have been conditioning her. First of all, you should condition any betta at least two weeks. Three or four preferably. If it was bought from petstore however, it is wise you take a longer period of time to condition her. You must also make sure she is ready to breed you can tell this by watching mostly for dark vertical bands across her belly. - Jul 25, 2002
