are masqeuto larvae good for bettas?

dario - Hello, My Paradise fish love them, they work particularly well if you're conditioning fish to breed. mosquito larvae are a fantastic source of live food for all fish. You can easily get them from pools of stagnant water during the spring & summer months. If you like, fill a bucket with water, add some grass clippings and place it by area where there are mosquitos (by bushes, trees etc.) Within a week you'll have a great culture. I use a turkey baster to weed out unwanted rubbish. Be sure to dump out the bucket if you're not going to use he larvae. This is the ONLY good reason for their existence! - May 24, 2001
