Options for fighting algae

- Genisis - Algea problems................. I would try an Algea Eater. they aren\'t to much at pet stores. - Jun 16, 2002

zlher - you may want to add live plants (many) if you don't want algae to be a problem again in the near future. The live plants will overpower the algae in breaking down the ammonia and other nutrients thus causing the algae to starve. This however is not going to completely eliminate algae without a routine schedule to scrub off excess algae. - Nov 25, 2000
